Subject: Permission to Display ASE Logo on Educational Test-Prep Site (asecollisiontestprep.com)

Dear ASE Licensing Team,

My name is Mario Hernandez. I am a Collision Repair Instructor at Sheridan Technical College and the founder of asecollisiontestprep.com, an independent online practice-test platform that helps students and working technicians prepare for the ASE B-Series (B2–B6) collision repair and refinishing certification exams.

The platform offers Prometric-style practice simulations, adaptive weakness drills, flashcards, and study guides — all built around helping technicians succeed when they sit for the official ASE exams. To date, the site has served students and instructors from across the country, and I receive regular feedback that the platform helps them feel more confident going into Prometric test day.

I am writing to respectfully request permission to display the ASE logo and reference the “ASE Certified” credential marks on the site, specifically in the following limited educational contexts:

  1. On module landing pages (B2, B3, B4, B5, B6) — illustrating the credential a student is preparing to earn
  2. On the home page “Patch Collection” section — showing the official ASE patches as a goal/reference for visitors
  3. In blog articles and study guides that describe the ASE certification process

I want to be completely transparent: my site is independent and not affiliated with ASE, and I have clearly disclosed this everywhere ASE marks appear, including in the site footer on every page. Currently the disclaimers state:

“ASE®, the ASE logo, and ‘ASE Certified’ are registered trademarks of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. asecollisiontestprep.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ASE. Official certification can only be earned by passing the ASE exam at a Prometric test center.”

If granted permission, I would be happy to:

My primary goal is to help more technicians pass ASE exams the first time, which I believe aligns with ASE’s mission of raising professional standards in the automotive service industry. If there is an existing authorized training partner program or licensing pathway I should pursue instead, I would welcome the guidance.

For your reference:

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I am committed to operating this platform in a way that respects ASE’s trademarks and brand integrity, and I would value any guidance you can offer.

Best regards,

Mario Hernandez Owner / Operator, asecollisiontestprep.com
